Another class assignment.
Gary always said, “It’s only funny until someone gets hurt, then its hysterical.” Well, I guess this time, that someone was him. I bet he’s laughing up there. Gary was a very fun person to be around and he would always make us laugh. Throughout Gary’s life, he really enjoyed 3 things. These things were his friends, family, and football. His favorite team was the San Diego Chargers, and I think that some of them are here with us at this funeral. Gary lived a very simple and tranquil life. He didn’t particularly have a high paying job, but somehow he still had enough money for many of life’s luxuries. He would live a laid back life and I’m sure it won’t be any difference for him in the afterlife. He would always say, when he gets to heaven, he would have a long chat with Jesus and ask him how the things on Earth worked. I bet he’s having that conversation right now. Gary was also very virtuous. I remember one day, we were going to a Charger’s game together. He, of course, had season tickets. When we were on our way to the stadium, we saw a mother and 2 children on the streets. By their appearance, it seemed that they were homeless. Gary immediately pulled over and gave the mother 2000 dollars. I’m not sure if the how she’s doing right now, but I’m sure Gary had made a difference in her life. He was always generous and kind. It’s very sad that he had to die this way. Let’s all pray for him, and hope he does well in the after life.
