Reading Journal QQC

"But it was the smell, the wild, briny smell, which really convinced Lucy that she was not dreaming." I love how smells can convince you of so many things, plus I like the idea of a wild, briny smell."

I chose this quote because I do agree with it. When I think I'm dreaming, the first thing I do is pinch myself. Sometimes I wouldn't be convinced by the tingling feeling on my arm. However, If I do smell something, maybe the smell of grass, my bedroom, or food, I would be immediately convinced. This is because you can't smell your dreams (I think). You can be anywhere you like, Willy wonka's chocolate factory, Candyland, maybe even the a dense forest with hundreds of different smells to smell, you still only smell your blankets, sheets, and pillow.

Wouldn't it be nice to smell your dreams though? Imagine you were dreaming of hot pancakes in the morning. Only that you can't smell them, or taste them in this case. What if you were in a garden full of flowers. It would be a magnificent sight to see, but you still can't smell their beauty. If only you can smell your dreams. That would be nice.
